1993 Los Angeles earthquake: Trauma first aid specialist

I have numerous published articles in respected professional journals.

A photo art project I did with children in Croatia and Bosnia is in the permanent collection of The Smithsonian in Wash DC.

I did a presentation at Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, and had local children read stories written by Balkan kids. This was written up in LA Times and The Miami Herald.

Africa and SE Asia.

Met my daughter Lauren in NYC to march for climate action with 500,000 people. She was a member of the Rude Mechanical Orchestra (saxophone player) marching band and I marched along with them.
(2007) Hummingbird Project.
I admired Luis Mazariegos hummingbird photos in National Geographic so I contacted him and brought him to US to do a fund raiser for his work in the jungles of Colombia to help the peasant farmers who were being terrorized and run off their land by drug lords.
BADD (Ban All Drunk Driving): 1(990s) I worked with a low income inner city single mom who lost both her kids to a drunk driver on her way home from church. We created an organization similar to MADD, organized a lot of speaking engagements especially at the high school level (her older son was high school age).
League of Women Voters: worked with them and allied groups on campaign finance reform initiative in California.
Board of Directors for CaPA (Calif cut for PNHP) : was the rep in State Senator Kuehl’s office. A bill was passed in State Legislature to turn California into total single payer. The governor (Arnold) vetoed it twice.
Active member of MTA (Move to Amend) 2018 - present.

Surfing: I learned to surf at age 65 and have surfed in Bali, Hawaii, Central California Coast and Austin wave pool with my daughter Lauren.
